On bank holiday Monday May 7th, the North Wilts Model Engineering Society will be holding their annual charity day at Coate Water miniature railway. This year the day is in memory of Sam Maisey, an enthusiastic member, who sadly died in November 2011 aged just twenty. All proceeds from the day will be going to Meldon Ward and the Intensive Care Unit at Swindon's Great Western Hospital, where Sam spent his final days. As well as their regular engines, it is hoped there will be many visiting locomotives.
Based on information supplied by Gary Maisey.
