THOUSANDS of voters in Swindon have already had their say on today's all out election.
Scores of people have flocked to polling stations during their lunchbreaks to cast their vote.
A total of 57 councillors are being elected across 20 wards with each representing approximately 2,800 constituents.
The last time the council had an all-out election was in 2000 and the Conservatives have been in control since 2003.
A spokesman for Swindon Council said that a spike in people casting their votes was likely between 6pm and 8pm when people finished work.
They asked that people remain patient during this busy period.
Tonight we will be breaking all the election news from from count as it happens online and you can find out who has won, who has lost and how the council is shaping up in the biggest election for a decade.
The first wards are expected to be called at 12.30am.
There will be a full round-up and analysis of the night in Saturday's paper with a full list of councillors.
