THREE Conservative councillors have taken the seats for the new St Andrew ward.
Vera Tomlinson received 1,209 votes, Mary Friend received 1,079 votes and Peter Heaton-Jones received 1,179 votes.
Coun Tomlinson said she was grateful that the electorate in the ward had shown such faith in her party.
"I would like to say thank you to all the people who voted for us," she said.
"This is a new ward and it is lovely that it has remained Conservative after being split in two."
Coun Heaton-Jones said: "The voters of St Andrews have shown faith in us to represent them which we will do to the best of our abilities."
And Coun Friend said: "I'm really pleased to be part of a really good team in St Andrews.
"I would like to say thank you to everyone who voted for me."
