THE new Mannington and Western ward has been claimed by three Labour councillors.
Jim Robbins received 1,049 votes, Kevin Small received 1,119 votes and Steve Wakefield received 1,084 votes.
Coun Robbins said: "I'm really pleased to have been elected and I am looking forward to doing my best for the constituency." Coun Wakefield said the hard work starts now. "Obviously I am very pleased to be elected," he said. "We have been elected by the people of Mannington and Western and we will work hard for them." And Coun Small said: "I am very pleased and grateful to the people for electing me for four years. "I am looking forward to the new challenge."
