COUNCILLOR Eric Shaw, who has served on the council for more than 20 years has lost his Wroughton seat.
Residents elected two Conservative councillors, Wayne Crabbe and Brian Ford, and Lib Dem's Ann Richards to represent the Wroughton and Wichelstowe ward.
Coun Ford said he was sad to see fellow Tory Eric miss out.
"Obviously I'm pleased for myself but I'm very sad about Eric, who is a very hardworking councillor," he said.
"In 26 years of being on the borough council he is probably one of the hardest working councillors and it is a sad day for Wroughton that they will no longer be represented by him."
Coun Crabbe echoed Coun Ford's sentiments.
"I'm pleased for Brian and myself but terribly upset for Eric.
"He has done a great job as a councillor for the area but sadly he's out."
Coun Richards said it was her day.
"I am delighted to be elected, especially as I have lived in the area for more than 40 years."
The turnout for the ward was 37 per cent.
