THE police helicopter was called into action yesterday afternoon to assist in a chase to collar burglars who used a stolen car as a getaway vehicle.
The offenders struck at a home in Wroughton yesterday morning and stole the homeowners’ car.
Police cars were stationed outside Drove Fire Station, another was at the end of Hunt Street, and another van was seen driving out of Station Road as they closed the net on the suspects. Those arrested were taken to Gablecross Police Station.
The police helicopter was despatched to assist with the arrests and was seen flying over the town centre and the Railway Village.
