A TV vet is hoping to revolutionise vetinary care in Swindon when he opens his new practice.
A ground-breaking new practice, Vet’s Klinic, in Bridgemead, will be opening its doors to the public on Monday.
The Vet’s Klinic concept was revealed for the first time in June this year and the launch date is set for Sunday with a public open day.
The final stages of the development took place this week and involved the fitting of a curved glass wall around the main animal preparation room.
This room is the first of its kind and will allow owners to see their pets being treated and handled by a team of vets, nurses and behavioural experts.
Technology is at the forefront of the new practice with pet owners having the ability to book and pay for their animal’s appointments via the Klinic website.
They will also have the extra advantage of viewing their pet’s medical records online, which will include photos and video clips of their animal’s consultations and treatment.
Joe Inglis, the man behind this innovative new practice, believes Vet’s Klinic will offer enhanced communication, further development and affordable care to pet owners.
He said: “When I stop being stressed and tired it is an incredible feeling to know we are opening on Monday.
“The last few weeks at the practice have been hectic, but we are finally there and this is something I have dreamt about for a long time.
“I believe veterinary care should be about pets and their owners and not about maximising profits.
“Our vets and nurses will work with iPads to post regular pet updates for their owners to view online.”
Joe has regularly appeared on television, appearing first on the series Vets In Practice and later was the vet on Blue Peter.
The open day on Sunday will run from 11am until 4pm. There will be free vaccinations on offer to the first 200 customers to join Vet’s Klinic.
