A push is being made to get dumped supermarket trolleys returned to the Morrisons superstore in Eldene Drive because an increasing number of them are being found in the surrounding streets.
Bazil Soloman, Liden, Eldene and Park South councillor, is asking people to help him return them to their rightful owner because he has noticed several left around the area.
“I have spoken to Dave Pedder-Jones from Morrisons who will try to arrange a collection of them from such a wide area.”
“I have asked residents to help return the abandoned trolleys home to Morrisons as were it is close by, we can simply push them back to the store,” he said.
Staff from the shop will help to collect them from Eldene locations including Elmore, Hedgerow Close and Liden Drive.
