PatriotGooner recommended reporting the matter to the financial watchdog.
I recommend anyone with a @AskNationwide account to contact the Financial Ombudsman to complain about the continuous technical issues blocking access to money transferred in to your account. #nationwide #changebank

And one customer who claims to have been with Nationwide for two decades is considering taking their custom elsewhere.
Been a @AskNationwide customer for over 20 years and the last few months there have been multiple issues with delayed payments. Disappointing service guys! Looks like I’ll be moving to a bank that can offer a better service. #Nationwide

Money Saving Expert advice on Nationwide refunds
Money Saving Expert say Nationwide intend to refund any charges automatically but it’s worth keeping an eye out to make sure the money does come through.
The website also recommends making an official complaint stipulating how much you are out of pocket and requesting your finances are reinstated to what they would have been had the technical glitch not occurred.
If you have incurred any costs from other financial providers due to this issue, Nationwide have requested customers contact them to discuss.
Either head into a branch, give them a call on 0800 30 20 15, visit the Nationwide website, or write to them at The Complaints Team, Nationwide Building Society, NW 2020, Swindon, SN38 1NW.
