Daisy May Cooper and Tim Key lead the cast of the BBC comedy The Witchfinder, which comes from Alan Partridge writers Neil and Rob Gibbons.
Taking place in 17th Century England, a failing witchfinder (Key) arrives in an East Anglian village in search of work.
Desperate for the wealth and fame a big trial could bring, all he finds is an uncouth local woman (Cooper) accused of killing a pig.
While he makes the most of this trivial case, an opportunity presents itself that could change his fortunes forever.
The Gibbons brothers have described the series as a "road-free road trip through an England gripped by civil war, famine and plague".
It will consist of six episodes, with big names such as Reece Shearsmith, Julian Barratt, Jessica Hynes and Ricky Tomlinson making appearances.
When will BBC's The Witchfinder be on TV?
The first episode will air at 10pm on BBC Two on Tuesday, March 8, with all episodes coming onto BBC iPlayer following this broadcast.
Alternatively, if you would like to watch the programme weekly, it will be on at the same time and day for the next five weeks.
