JEFF Roberts has left his post as Highworth Town manager after resigning over the weekend.
Roberts has been at the helm at the Save on Tyres Stadium for three-and-a-half years after joining the club in the summer of 2016.
Former Highworth boss John Fisher has been re-appointed at the club and will form a management team alongside Ross Adams.
The club finished third in Hellenic League Premier Division in the 2017-18 season in Roberts’ second campaign in charge, winning promotion to Southern League Division One South.
After finishing 14th in the table last term, Roberts departs with the Worthians sitting in 13th position having won six games and 22 points from 18 league games this season.
His final match in charge was a 3-1 defeat at home to Larkhall Athletic on Boxing Day, a result that meant the Worthians have picked up just one point from their last four league fixtures.
A club statement released on Sunday read: “Highworth Town Football Club can confirm that Jeff Roberts has resigned as first-team manager today.
“The committee would like to thank Jeff for all of his hard work over the past three and a half seasons in which he was instrumental in pushing the club into Southern League Football for the first time ever.
“We wish Jeff all the best for the future.
“The committee has appointed Ross Adams and John Fisher as our new management team with immediate effect.”
Adams and Fisher’s first game in charge will be the trip to Cirencester Town on New Year’s Day.
