AN ETHIOPIAN and an Equatorial Guinean are on trial with Swindon Town this week, as the Robins look to unearth another hidden gem.
The Advertiser understands Yussef Saleh and Sergi Perello Mba have trained with Town at Liddington after linking up with the club on Monday, and both could play a part in a behind-closed-doors development game at West Bromwich Albion this afternoon.
Saleh is a 29-year-old forward who has spent the vast majority of his career in Sweden playing for the likes of Syrianska and AIK - with whom he won the Allsvenkskan title in 2009.
The winger has represented his country four times, including an appearance in the 2-0 defeat to Nigeria in the African Cup of Nations back in January this year.
Much less is known about Perello Mba, whose footballing past is hard to trace.
Mba yesterday posted a picture of himself in a Swindon Town training kit on his Facebook and Twitter pages, where he lists his hometown as being Malabo - the capital of Equiatorial Guinea.
