ALL three Swindon players were knocked out of the European Darts Open in Germany yesterday.
Dennis Smith made the most progress as he reached round two with a solid victory over Williams O’Connor, but lost in the second round to former Premier League player Wes Newton.
Johnny Haines and Chris Aubrey both went out in the first round, losing 6-1 to Andy Smith and Jamie Lewis respectively.
The two first-round losers pick up £1,000 in prize money, while Smith’s effort was enough to earn him £1,500 towards the order of merit.
