TOWN midfielder Ben Gladwin has sustained torn ankle ligaments after a hard tackle in last night's defeat to Brighton and Hove Albion.

Having come on for Massimo Luongo in 76th minute Gladwin was forced off just before full-time after a heavy challenge from Adam Chicksen left him prostrate on the touchline.

Initially Gladwin tried to continue but was withdrawn when it became apparent the injury was serious.

Today the former Marlow man tweeted a picture of his foot in a protective boot and revealed that he had sustained torn ankle ligaments.
