LEE Evans is the last Swindon darts player standing in the UK Open.
Evans, from Kempsford, made it through the first two rounds today, booking his place in the third round draw of the PDC competition.
The 26-year-old made light work of Nick Fulwell in the first round, beating him 5-2, before making it past Ronny Huybrechts, 5-3, to move into the second day of the competition in Minehead.
Evans will now face 2007 runner up Vincent van der Voort, of the Netherlands, in the third round tomorrow.
However the fate of the other Swindon throwers was not so good.
Johnny Haines fell in the first round with a 5-4 defeat to James Richardson, while Mark Cox made it through his first test against Ben Ward, 5-1, only to fall 5-4 in the second round to Devon Peterson.
Dennis Smith was also beaten in the second round as he failed to make it past Mark Barilli with a disappointing 5-1 defeat.
It was also a frustrating day for Adi Acott, who plays for Wiltshire County, as he lost in the preliminary round to Ian Moss 5-1.
