AHEAD of the play-off first leg, Town boss Mark Cooper has put the pressure on his opposite number Nigel Clough to deliver.

Despite guiding Swindon Town to a fourth-placed finish, eight points clear of tonight’s opponents, Cooper has claimed it is the Blades who are favourites.

Whether or not he is trying to lower expectations or dip into the muddied pool of managerial mind games, remains to be seen.

However, when questioned by BBC Wiltshire, Cooper placed the onus firmly on United to progress to Wembley.

“The pressure on them is the expectancy,” he said.

“Because it’s such a big club they’re expected to get promotion, whereas we’re not. They’ve shown before they can deal with that, but let’s hope they don’t.

“The only pressure on us is from within, which is the pressure we put on ourselves to put on a good performance and show everybody what we're all about."
