REPORTS have emerged that Town midfielder Louis Thompson has been declared fit for Sunday’s play-off final at Wembley.
The midfielder injured his shoulder at Gresty Road in Town’s 0-0 draw with Crewe at the end of February.
It was initially thought Thompson would not play for the club again, as he was due to link up with parent club Norwich at the end of the season.
However, Swindon’s progression to the play-off final extended the opportunity for Thompson to play again.
Yesterday he consulted with the surgeon who operated on his shoulder as well as medical staff from Town and Norwich who gave him the go-ahead to return to competitive action in Sunday’s big play-off showdown.
