CROFT A pulled away in the second half of their Division One clash to defeat Abbey Meads A 46-43, with their goal attack/centre Charlie Barrett given player of the match.
Lawn A also had a tight match against Pinehurst A, leading by six goals in the first quarter thanks to interceptions from wing defence Carly Sparrow and rebounds by goalkeeper Shelley de Boer.
Lawn continued to stay ahead in the second half to clinch a 51-48 success, with goal shooter Abbey Simpson the player of the match.
Raychem A secured a 55-36 triumph over their own B team, Vicki Wilson being named player of the match for the A team and Beckie New earning B team honours.
Lawn B clinched a closely-fought 40-37 success against their own C team in Division Two, led by good shooting from Neav Ingram and Sam Thompson, while goal defence Ehlana Drury was player of the match.
Nationwide B narrowly got the better of Raychem C 35-34, with Cally Warren being named Raychem’s player of the match.
In Division Three, Nationwide C played Purton A and both teams struggled with the wet surface.
Purton secured an early lead of six goals and eventually pulled clear to win 33-14, Nationwide goalkeeper Rebecca Pearson being named player of the match.
Third-placed Royal Wootton Bassett A took on second-placed Raychem D, who took the lead in the third quarter and managed to secure a 46-39 win. Holly Aitkenhead was Bassett’s player of the match, with Belle Walker earning Raychem’s honours.
Lawn D were 34-31 victors against Raychem F in Division Four, goal attack Holly Atkins being named player of the match.
Sydney Short was the player of the match as Raychem E were 56-36 victors over Delta.
Abbey Meads C took on Lawn E in Division Five but endured a rocky start, ending the first half down by seven goals.
Good defending in the circle saw Abbey create turnovers as they fought their way back, winning the match 25-21, with wing defence Kavee Pack awarded player of the match and Lawn’s goal attack Brook Drayton doing likewise.
Royal Wootton Bassett C enjoyed a 43-7 win over against Moredon C, with Sharron O’Neill the player of the match n LAST Thursday night saw Lawns Over 35s earn a convincing 56-12 win over Purton, with goal shooter, Lyn Palmer named player of the match.
Lawn’s Under 14 squad travelled to Bristol to compete in the South West regional seeding tournament, securing an 11-4 win in their final match to qualify for the South West Regional Division One and potentially achieve a place at the national club championships next year.
