LAWN D took over the leadership of Division Four, registering their seventh win from eight games as they nudged past Delta B 40-38, goal shooter Erin Rawlins being named Lawn’s player of the match.
Royal Wootton Bassett took on previously top-of-the-table side Moonraker and a strong start saw them take a five-goal lead in the first quarter.
Strong defence and excellent shooting saw them close out the match 50-41 as Lilli Beard was named their player of the match.
Bassett’s C team took the lead from the outset against Purton B and despite dropping back in the final quarter, closed out a 42-34 triumph, with Banita Mudhar the player of the match.
Lawn E edged out Nationwide D 22-21 in a tight Division Five contest, goal defence Em Osborne being named Lawn’s player of the match.
In Division Two, Royal Wootton Bassett A were trailed Fairford A after the first quarter and despite Bassett closing the gap towards the end of the match, Fairford maintained a two-goal lead for the final two quarters and took the win 41-39. Bassett’s player of the match was Liz Kelly.
Raychem C’s strong first quarter sent them on the way to a 41-28 victory over Delta A, despite improved second and third quarters from the beaten side, for whom goal attack Sharon Bassindale was player of the match.
