LAWN B were 44-31 winners over their Burmah counterparts when the two sides contested a challenging game at the weekend.
The teams matched each other goal for goal in the first half but Lawn raised the tempo in the second to take control of the game.
Steph Lowther read the game excellently and made vital interceptions for Lawn to be named their player of the match.
Lawn C were not able to match that success as they went down 45-39 against Raychem B in a closely contested match.
They were only two goals in arrears by the end of the first quarter but a lack of players cost Lawn as Raychem pulled clear.
Hannah Simpson was one of a number of players to play up a side for the game and ended up being named player of the match.
Lawn D remain at the top of their division after a 56-26 success away at Delta Reds B.
Delta started well and only trailed by three goals at the end of the first quarter. From there, though, Lawn took control and increased their lead to 30-16 by half-time.
Delta tried changing positions in the second half but Lawn pulled further clear with some fine moves, rounded off by accurate shooting in the circle.
Pippa Storey was Delta’s player of the match, with Hannah Simpson taking the honour for Lawn.
There was a narrow one-point success for Lawn E as they edged out Nationwide D 25-24.
Lawn E were trailing at half-time but managed to pull themselves together in the second half, showing good defensive and attacking play before stealing the win at the death.
Phoebe Thompson was named their player of the match.
Royal Wootton Bassett A were beaten 53-45 by their Fairford counterparts in the penultimate match of the season.
Fairford made a strong start and led for most of the match, including by 15 goals at half-time.
Bassett worked hard to turn the ball over in the second half to make sure they still gained an important point from the match.
Liz Kelly was named Bassett’s player of the match.
Moonraker edged out Bassett B 44-25 in their top-of-the-table clash.
Annabel Hoskings was named player of the match for Bassett.
A second-half surge from Purton B saw them beat Bassett C 37-16.
Bassett were only a goal down at the halfway point but Purton took hold of the game after the break.
Ellis Manning was Bassett’s player of the match.
Bassett’s U11 team were 14-1 winners over Raychem B on Sunday, with Caitlin Young named their player of the match.
