SWINDON Wildcats returned to winning ways in NIHL South One on Sunday night with a 6-2 success away at Streatham.
Aaron Nell’s side had suffered back-to-back defeats before their trip to London, having lost at home to Peterborough Phantoms on Saturday night and on the road at Bracknell Bees the previous weekend.
However, they hit their straps early in Streatham and a hat-trick from Max Birbraer gave them control in the first period, with the hosts only replying through Michael Farn when 3-0 down.
Swindon kicked on again in the second session and further goals from Adam Harding, Loris Taylor and Chris Jones put them 6-1 in front.
Streatham shaded the final period, with Ryan Webb getting the only goal to arrive, but it was much too late to deny the Cats their victory.
