SWINDON Town defender Chris Robertson has joined National League side Havant & Waterlooville on a one-month loan deal.
Town boss Richie Wellens has allowed the centre-back to spend a short stint away from the club in order to gain match time.
The 33-year-old has yet to feature for Swindon this season due to an ankle injury and Wellens hopes match minutes at a lower level will help get him back up to full fitness.
Wellens said: “Chris Robertson has been agreed with Havant & Waterlooville.
“We will have a 28-day recall as, for example, on Saturday I have got no centre-half on the bench against Tranmere.
“I like a centre-half on the bench and with Olly Lancashire’s injury, Chris would have been on the bench, but he is just so far away.
“He needs games and hopefully at Havant, that will allow him to do that.”
