SWINDON Manor men suffered another heavy defeat in their second Thames region group match of the season in the Wessex League.
They crashed to a 99-42 defeat in their second game of the 2019/2020 campaign to Newbury side West Berks losing on all four rinks and failing to collect any of the 16 points on offer.
The result leaves Manor firmly anchored at the foot of the Thames table pointless from their opening two matches against Westlecot and West Berks and sees West Berks move above Westlecot at the top of the table.
At Rodbourne- based Manor the two home rinks skipped by Richard Young and Josh Fail lost 18-12 and 25-14 respectively to West Berks players Derek Parsonson and Gordon Ballentyne.
And away in Newbury the quartets led by Brian Romain and Steve Rose went down 31-6 and 25-10 respectively to Mark Chant and Tom Aubury.
Manor will be looking for fortunes to improve in their next match which is against Oxford City and County next Sunday, November 24.
Westlecot who were knocked-off the top of the Thames region table by West Berks after their win over the Manor play their second match of the new campaign on Sunday December 8 when they face Oxford C&C.
