SWINDON Wildcats battled back from behind to complete a perfect weekend in the National League with a 4-1 victory away at Raiders on Sunday night.
Aaron Nell’s side had beaten Bracknell Bees by the same scoreline on home ice on Saturday night and picked up where they left off when they took on the Londoners 24 hours later.
The two sides could not be separated in a goalless first period before Raiders struck first in the second session as Erik Piatak broke the deadlock.
Swindon remained in arrears with less than 90 seconds left on the clock in period two but a quickfire double from Toms Rutkis and player-coach Nell turned the game on its head and gave the visitors a 2-1 advantage.
The momentum continued as the third period got under way and a second from Rutkis and one from Chris Jones made it four Swindon goals in the space of five minutes to wrap up a convincing win and a four-point weekend.
