SWINDON Croquet Club are planning to expand their facilities at Moredon from three lawns to six, with the intention of becoming a regional hub for croquet.
The new facilities will see the club hosting national and international croquet events while also expanding croquet for local people.
A companies’ league is planned, where local businesses enter to encourage team spirit and networking while also allowing for friendly rivalry.
The club are keen to expand community group participation where everyone enjoys gentle exercise and socialises, no matter their abilities.
The new facilities will include expansion of the club room and outdoor space for tables and chairs for spectators.
It is expected work on the new Moredon Sports Hub will start this year but it is dependent on Swindon Borough Council’s agenda.
