Town have bolstered their attacking line-up ahead of their first competitive fixture of the season with the signing of experienced striker Brett Pitman.
The former Bournemouth and Bristol City player has signed for the club on a one-year deal with the option to extend for another year.
The 32-year-old spent last season at League One side Portsmouth, scoring two goals in 11 appearances.
Pitman said: "It's exciting to join a club that got promoted last season and that will be going in the right direction, full of confidence for the new season."
"I did my homework and found out he (the manager) plays good football, exciting football and at my age that was a massive factor to enjoy my football."
"It's a good club, they can take the momentum from last season onwards and hopefully do well this season."
He arrives with plenty of experience as a Championship striker, helping Bournemouth secure promotion to the Premier League in 2015 scoring 13 goals in the process.
Pitman also helped the Cherries out of League One in 2013 with 19 goals in 26 appearances.
During his playing career he spent three seasons at Bristol City, scoring 20 goals in 77 matches, as well as 14 in 64 at Ipswich Town.
The Englishman joined Portsmouth at the start of the 2017-18 season and scored a total of 37 goals in 81 games for Pompey.
