PAUL Jewell is expected to leave his role as Director of Football at Swindon Town, according to reports.
Jewell joined Town on December 10, 2018 at the request of former manager Richie Wellens and helped oversee signings such as Eoin Doyle, Jerry Yates, and Steven Benda.
More recently, the 56-year-old claimed he was not around as much and that he "smelt a rat" at the beginning of last summer when the club's signings appeared to become "a bit blase."
Jewell's reported exit is likely to come the day after an extraordinary cluster of departures from the County Ground club.
Manager John McGreal and assistant manager Rene Gilmartin stated their positions had become "untenable" and saw their contracts terminated by mutual consent just hours after CEO Steve Anderson announced he would be moving on as well.
