CHIPPENHAM Town have announced the return of Will Richards, who has agreed to re-join the club following his recent return to the UK from Australia.
After leaving the Bluebirds at the end of 2019, the 29-year-old defender joined Melbourne club, Doveton FC in 2020, subsequently moving to Queensland side, Grange Thistle, before coming back to the UK last month.
The Thornbury Surfacing Stadium outfit also announced the signing of striker Harry Warwick on Monday.
The 20-year-old had previously spent time with Bristol Rovers but has signed a deal at Chippenham after impressing in the club’s pre-season friendlies so far.
Chippenham continued their pre-season schedule with a 2-2 draw against Eastleigh on Tuesday.
The Bluebirds opened the scoring in the seventh minute before Eastleigh hit back two minutes later through Harry Pritchard.
The visitors then took the lead five minutes after the break thanks to an own goal, only for Dan Griffiths to net an equaliser midway through the second period.
Town travel to Torquay United for the club’s final pre-season friendly before the National League South season begins.
