Kaine Kesler-Hayden has been recalled to his parent club Aston Villa with immediate effect.
The Robins made the announcement on social media, confirming that the promising young star will not be seeing out the rest of the season in Ben Garner's team.
Kesler-Hayden shone in the recent FA Cup third round clash against Manchester City where he didn't look at all out of place against some of the best and highest paid players in the world.
The highly-rated defender arrived at SN1 on loan in August, and he immediately made a huge impact starting 19 games for the club.
His marauding runs forward and his ability to make things happen and get stuck earned him call-ups to the England U20s set-up while with Town.
A statement from Swindon Town said: "There is no doubt that Kesler-Hayden will be forever remembered for scoring the goal that sent Town through to the Third Round of the Emirates FA Cup, while he also produced a hugely impressive performance against a talent-laden Manchester City team in what turned out to his final appearance in a Swindon shirt.
"Everyone at Swindon Town Football Club would like to thank Kaine for his considerable efforts during his time with us, and we wish you the very best of luck for the future - we have no doubt you will go on to achieve big things in the game!"
