Swindon Town are lining up a move for former Swansea defender Cameron Evans, according to reports.
Football Insider have said that the Wales under-19 international has been training with Swindon since the expiration of his deal with the Swans ahead of a permanent move to Wiltshire.
The central defender graduated from the academy at Swansea and signed a professional deal in 2019 but only made one senior appearance in South Wales, alongside former Town loan player Jordon Garrick, in a 2-0 FA Cup win against Stevenage.
Evans spent 2021 on loan at Waterford, where he played 35 times across all competitions as the club were relegated to the League of Ireland First Division, where he scored one goal in the FAI Cup against Kilnamanagh.
The defender has also won nine caps for the Wales under-19s and whilst part of that side he qualified them for the elite round of the European Championships.
Whilst in the academy at Swansea, Evans captained their under-18, under-19, and under-23 side before making the step up to the first team.
The 21-year-old departed Swansea City this summer following the expiry of his contract and was rumoured to be on trial at Torquay United, but Football Insider believes that the defender has also been training with Swindon.
