Chippenham Town have completed the signing of Welsh defender Pablo Martinez following his departure from Bristol Rovers.
The 21-year-old central defender joins the Bluebirds for their upcoming National League South season and adds versatility with his ability to play in defence and midfield.
Bristol Rovers brought in Martinez in 2020 to be a part of their development team following his release from West Brom, having also played academy football at Reading.
Martinez was been capped by Wales at under-17 and under-19 level, despite eligibility for England and Spain, and featured eight times in Bristol Rovers’ relegation from League One in 2020/21, but only made one first team appearance last season for the Gas.
The Welsh youth international has played at this level twice before during loan spells with Oxford City and in the National League North last season with Gloucester City.
