SUPERMARINE came from a goal down at half time to beat Rugby Town 2-1 in a contest that exploded into life late in the second period.
Having arrived just 15 minutes before kick off, Marine found themselves a goal down inside 30 seconds, on-loan Walsall striker Rory Curtis poking home from David Staff's corner.
Hosts Rugby dominated the first half and Curtis would have had a hat-trick if not for the heroics of Tom King in the Marine goal.
Mark Collier brought on Mark Draycott and David Stroud in the second half, and the game swung in Supermarine's favour.
First Leigh Henry forced a stunning save from home custodian Richard Anstiss before Draycott brought the visitors level after 76 minutes.
Four minutes later the turnaround was complete, Stroud collecting the seconds from Kyle Lapham's stray pass to thump home a stunning winner from 20 yards.
It still needed a brave block from Cedric Abraham in stoppage time to ensure the points, but the coach journey home was a lot less stressful than the journey into Rugby earlier that afternoon.
Elsewhere in the Southern League, Chippenham Town followed their 5-0 drubbing of Bedford with an equally stellar display as they dispatched hosts Yate Town 4-0 in their own back yard.
Kye Holly put the Bluebirds ahead from the penalty spot after just four minutes, and two goals from winger Dave Pratt made it 3-0 at the break.
Sam Allison added a fourth with 15 minutes to play as Chippenham moved to within five points of joint leaders Team Bath, King's Lynn and Halesowen.
At the other end of the table Cirencester Town suffered a major setback as they went down 3-1 at Bashley.
A brace from Richard Gillespie and a Ryan Moss strike gave the New Milton hosts a comfortbale win, with Paul Cochlin netting for Ciren.
In the Hellenic Premier Division, both Shrivenham and Highworth Town recorded excellent 3-1 away wins, at AFC Wallingford and Ardley United respectively.
Wootton Bassett Town and Malmesbury Vics will both be claiming the result of the day award in Division One West.
Bassett beat second-placed Easington Sports 2-1 at Rylands Way while Ken Regan's Malmesbury won 1-0 at Winterbourne United.
Purton came back down to earth with a bump, as they followed last week's 6-0 win at Banbury with a 5-0 reverse at Old Woodstock Town.
Cirencester United's woes continued with a 3-0 home defeat to Headington Amateurs.
