THE Premier League title chase took a dramatic twist at the weekend when second-placed Fratellos were held 4-4 away to Bakers Arms.

Fratellos, without a number of regular players, battled hard to contain a solid challenge from Bakers, who, thanks to singles from Jim Miller and Wallis as well as a brace from Mark Thatcher, shared the spoils.

The away side's scorers were Johnny Husband with a hat-trick and Barton.

Bottom side VBA Rangers continue to look for their first win. They took on Catalus at Wanborough with the home side winning 3-1.

Catalus took an early lead through a strike from Mathews after 15 minutes.

The lead was doubled thanks to a well-taken header from Meredith.

The second half saw VBA's defence and stand-in keeper, manager McGookin, struggle to keep the home side out with plenty of last-ditch challenges.

One of these presented Catalus with a free-kick on the edge of the box which Groundsell stroked home in the bottom corner of the goal to make it 3-0.

Despite this the Rangers continued to push the home side back and were finally rewarded with a last-minute goal from Gareth Walton.

Division One continues to deliver surprises. This week Lower Stratton held high-flying South Swindon at home.

Stratton took an early lead through Danny Rudman only for two quickfire responses from the away side.

The second half was entertaining and competitive with Stratton finally getting reward for their effort with a late equaliser through Hitchman.

An under-strength Bulldog moved into top spot thanks to a 3-0 win away at Ramsbury with goals from Anton Webb, Steve Rushton and Aaron Webb.

Penhill entertained Grange Park with the away side winning 4-2. This allowed them to leapfrog Penhill in the league.
