ALAN Dyton has made a sensational return to Shrivenham just seven months after stepping down as co-manager.

Dyton quit the Hellenic Premier club at the end of last season, but has been persuaded to return by former colleague Pete Horwat, who is now in sole charge of the team.

The ex-Supermarine boss comes in after Marc Turner parted company with the club for personal reasons, as Shrivenham travel to Abingdon tonight, knowing that three points could propel them into the top 10.

Dave Gee, Michael Silvanus and TJ Bohane all return, and Horwat believes the players will be boosted by Dyton's homecoming.

"He's one of the most experienced managers in the area in non-league football," said Horwat. "He took the club from the lower reaches of Division One West to the Premier Division. I think he's been missing football a bit and it's great to have him back.'' Elsewhere, Highworth Town entertain second-placed North Leigh, with boss Dave Webb able to call on two more new signings.

Twenty-four-year-old forward Phil Hall has signed following his release from Cirencester Town, and he is joined at the Elms by teenage goalkeeper Lee Matthews.

On Hall, Webb said: "I've been tracking him since I got the job. The key is that he is young but has experience of the Southern League.

"He'll give us some quality in the front line. He's very good with the ball at his feet, he's quick and likes to go at defenders and will form a nice partnership with Phil Corcoran."

Matthews, the 19-year-old former Burnley, Forest Green and Supermarine stopper, has signed until the end of the season.

In Division One West, Malmesbury Victoria entertain Trowbridge Town.
