A YOUNG Swindon Town XI were comfortably beaten 5-1 away at Worthing in a pre-season friendly on Saturday.
On the same afternoon that a far stronger Town side went down 4-2 at home to Championship club Cardiff City, an inexperienced squad - featuring former Worthing man Ricky Aguiar and striker Harry Parsons - tasted defeat against their National League South opposition.
According to reports from West Sussex, Parsons nabbed Town's only goal of the game when slotting home following his own saved penalty.
But a hat-trick from Jake Robinson and two goals from Ollie Pearce ensured the non-league outfit ran away with victory after being 3-1 up at half-time.
A Town fan in attendance claimed youngsters; Harrison Minturn, George Cowmeadow, Mo Dabre, and Oscar Massey were also a part of the visitors' squad.
