YOUNG footballers are being given the chance to play for Forest Green Rovers next season while completing a full-time education at Swindon College.
The College's football academy scheme sees students receive six hours of professional coaching per week from the Blue Square Premier club, alongside their academic studies.
And on Saturday mornings they will represent Forest Green Rovers' youth team in the South West Counties Youth League against teams like Aldershot Town, Bath City and Newport County.
Players will also play for Swindon College every Wednesday against other local colleges in the Three Counties Youth League.
Academy co-ordinator Steve Hale revealed: "If players show the right attitude and right ability level they are given the opportunity to play and train alongside the first team professionals.
"And with a newly formed reserve team competing in the Pontins Combination League, never has there been a better pathway to first team level."
Anyone interested in the scheme should send their name, address, date of birth, preferred playing position, and any relevant playing experience to: Steve Hale, Academy co-ordinator, Forest Green Rovers FC, Nympsfield Road, Nailsworth, Glos, GL6 OET or email stevehale41@hotmail.com
