The Advertiser Cup took precedent this week with six ties being played.
Last season's George Thomas Cup winners Rodbourne Arms entertained much improved Shield and Dagger with the home side sneaking into the semis with an extra-time screamer from Mark Arnold.
The game was played at a frenetic pace, ebbed and flowed with neither side able to convert the numerous chances.
Joining the Arms in the semis are North Swindon who had a nervous afternoon at Lower Stratton, finally edging it 3-2.
The away side rushed into an early 2-0 lead only to be pegged back to 2-2 at half-time after a double from D Jones, who also missed a penalty.
The second half found North Swindon taking control and they finally scored through D Bond, completing his hat-trick.
Division One side Penhill saw off Bakers Arms 2-0 to take their place in the next round.
Bakers failed to take the numerous chances they had in the game.
Spectrum needed extra time to see off struggling VBA Rangers, the home side broke the deadlock late in the second half through Teixeira, only for goalkeeper Ryan Wheeler to be pressed into an emergency forward score in the dying moments.
Spectrum again took the lead in extra time through Thomas but again Rangers replied this time with a fine 30-yard cross-shot from Wayne Savory.
Rangers then pressed for the win only to be caught twice with the sucker punch, goals for Daly and Teixeira with his second saw the home side through 4-2.
In the George Thomas Cup two games where played - the main attraction at Wanborough where Catalus overcame high-flying Fratellos 5-3.
Fratellos, fielding an understrength side found themselves 3-1 up at half-time thanks to strikes from D Parsons, R Plumb and D Coleman.
The home side rallied in the second half and ground the opposition down thanks to strikes from A White, G Mathews, V Meredith and a double from B Sheddon.
In a bad-tempered game that saw three players sent off, Trailers edged out Queensfield 1-0 thanks to a well taken goal from A Gleed.
Two games where played in Division One with high-flying Bulldog dropping points at struggling Aldbourne. The home side found themselves 2-0 up only for strikes from S Rushton and Anton Webb to salvage a point.
Ramsbury entertained Grange Park where thanks to strikes from J Orman, S Marchetti R Bailey and a brace from T Bathe saw the home side record a fine 5-2 win.
The game was finely poised at 2-2 with the turning point being a fine penalty save from Ramsbury keeper M Furniss.
