KEN Regan saluted his players' attitude and desire after celebrating a fourth win in five matches as co-manager of Malmesbury Vics.
Vics recovered from a goal down to thrash an experienced Launton Sports outfit 4-1 and put further daylight between themselves and the Division One West drop zone.
Goals from Andy Wicks, Bryan Halestrap, James McCarthy and Adam Giles wrapped up the points to leave Regan and co-boss Lee Marshall grinning from ear to ear.
Since taking charge of Vics in December, the pair have successfully steered the villagers away from relegation danger, and have now set their sights on achieving a respectable mid-table finish.
"When we came here there were some good players, but they just needed to believe in themselves," said Regan.
"We brought a couple of new faces in and promoted a few players from the reserves, and that seems to have made a big difference. When we won at Winterbourne that was massive because the players knew they could compete with anyone in the league.
"Now the confidence is there we want to push on and use our games in hand to catch some of the teams above us."
With four different names on the scoresheet on Saturday, Regan hopes sharing the goals throughout the side is a sign of things to come.
With just 18 in the goals for' column all season, the manager knows it is up front where the biggest battle lies.
He said: "For teams in Division One West there is little money so it can be tough to attract a goalscorer.
"We lost Steve Robertson to Cirencester Town and Paul Day to Wantage, so we need to make sure everyone else chips in.
"The last few weeks have been much more promising so hopefully we can continue in that vein."
Craig Wall once again proved Wootton Bassett Town's nemesis as his second half brace sealed a comfortable 3-1 victory for Pewsey Vale.
Chris Oram and Wall twice profited from some dire Bassett defending to give the hosts an unassailable 3-0 lead.
An uphill task was made even harder just after the hour when Ritchie Saunders received his second yellow card in the space of three minutes.
Phil Tearle grabbed a consolation goal for Bassett after 66 minutes, but for boss Paul Burke the misery goes on.
Max Leslie, Ben Carter and Adam Smith were all on target as Cricklade eased to a 4-2 win over Headington Amateurs.
Warren Fuller's 90th minute penalty did little to lift spirits at the Red House as Purton were thumped 7-1 by Winterbourne United.
Elsewhere, it was a familiar tail of woe for bottom club Cirencester United, who conceded five without reply at Letcombe.
