OLD Town United must be wondering what they have to do to beat Penhill in Division 1 of the under 14 league.
Earlier this season they were beaten 5-4 after leading 4-1; this time they were leading 3-0 at half- time, only for the Allstars to hit back after the break to win 4-3, with goals from Bradley Ray, Jake Kavern, Lewis Chubb and an own goal.
UNDER 15 Ferndale A maintained their 100 per cent record in a hard-fought game against Greenmeadow. Both sides had good chances in the first half but both keepers were in fine form to keep the scores level at the break.
In the second half Ferndale upped the tempo and two goals from Stevie Hill, one a penalty, and one from Sam Hackett secured a 3-0 win.
Under 14 Division 3 Old Town Utd B went behind for the first time this season as they paid the price for a host of missed chances in the first half.
But two quality second half strikes, from Kurt Giddings and James Relen, put Old Town in front and, despite Greenmeadow drawing level again, Tom Ballard forced the ball home to give Old Town a 3-2 victory.
UNDER 13 DIVISION 3 highworth Juniors beat North Leach 8-0 with goals from Johnathan Light (3), Aaron Smith (2), Tariq Stone (2) and Martin Gatehouse.
Under 12 Division 2 Liden Community opened the scoring at FC Abbey Meads after 20 minutes with a penalty, but Abbey Meads battled back after the break, resulting in a goal from Thomas Baldwin to even the score.
An entertaining game saw Croft race into an early two-goal lead against Fairford, both goals coming from Drew Roberts.
A spirited Fairford side then rallied and stormed into a 3-2 lead, only to be pegged back on the stroke of half-time with a George Slade strike.
Both sides then had opportunities to win the game but it was Croft's George Skinner who popped up with the winning goal, his first for the club, to earn the home team a 4-3 win.
Avondale beat Wanborough in an excellent match. Scorers for Wanborough were Guy Berwick, Bradley Mitchell and John Reeves.
Under 12 Division 3 Bassett Rangers opened the scoring before Ryan Adams grabbed two to give Oaksey the lead.
After the break, Oaksey dominated and Adams missed a penalty before Bassett struck twice to run out 3-2 winners.
Under 11 West Croft travelled to Malmesbury and took an early 2-0 lead, with goals from Gabriel Bennony and James Sims.
Malmesbury pulled one back before the interval but Croft ran out 2-1 winners.
Wroughton took the points in a tough encounter with Stratton Youth, with a last-minute goal from Grant Sanders.
Greenmeadow controlled much of the game against Wootton Bassett, with two quick goals early on from Sam Lach and Leon Mason allowing them to settle.
A further solo strike from Elliot Maggs-Franklin sent them into the break 3-0 up.
The pattern was the same in the second half as further strikes from Lach, Maggs-Franklin and Brady Lambert gave Greenmeadow a comfortable 6-0 victory.
Jake Brand opened the scoring for White Horse against Ferndale Rodbourne, and Robin Batson doubled the lead with a left foot shot.
Further goals were scored in the first half by Tom Fry (2), Matthew Bartlett and Joshua Bates with a long range free-kick.
Ferndale Rodbourne came back strongly in the second half and pulled a goal back, but White Horse added two further goals from Kieran Hegerty and Robin Batson to make the final score 8-1.
Under 11 Central In a close game, South Cerney made the most of their chances, taking a 2-0 half time-lead.
Old Town fought back to 2-2 with goals from Thomas Whitham and Donal Mann, before South Cerney got a late winner to take them off the bottom of the table.
Under 10 North Swindon Rangers A dropped their first points of the season, being held to a 1-1 draw by a well-organised Shrivenham & Watchfield side.
Rangers opened the scoring, Jack Steed getting on the end of a Jake Evans cross to slot the ball past the keeper.
Shrivenham piled on the pressure after the interval and their efforts were rewarded with an equaliser shortly before the final whistle.
Blunsdon Colts came out on top in a game played in great spirit against Shaw B. Blunsdon's scorers were Tom Smith (2), Liam Hallaways (2), Jack Johnson, Olly Hunt and Kieran Andrews.
Cirencester Town G were in league action at home to Cirencester C.
C were soon in front with a goal by Kai Jarvis. Ciren G applied some pressure and were rewarded with a goal from Elliot Pitt, but no sooner had they drawn equal than Ciren C went 2-1 up with a Callum Fallows goal. Max Lloyd scored for G to make the score 2-2 at half-time.
Ciren G were a different side in the second half and they soon took control of the game with three more goals from Pitt, Lloyd and Jamie Jell.
Under 10 West FC Abbey Meads gained another three points with a 7-0 victory over Coleview Juniors. Their goalscorers were Lewis Newman, Jack Davies with a great curling free-kick, Jack Uzzell with a brace, and man of the match Sam Edwards with a hat-trick.
Liden proved a tough nut to crack for Swindon Rangers B in a nail-biting game. The first half was closely contested but neither side could score.
After the break, Rangers threw everything at Liden and 10 minutes from time their man of the match, Reece Cobb, broke the deadlock with a fine strike.
He then supplied a superb cross for Harry Gillett to make it two with a header, and notched his own second near the end to seal a 3-0 win.
Under 10 Central Another strong team performance saw Highworth come from behind against a skillful Blunsdon side. Their scorers were Snowden (2), Rose (2) and Richardson.
Greenmeadow secured a 1-0 away win at Brinkworth Cats, thanks to a goal from Shaun White.
Under 10 South Having built a 3-1 lead through good team play, Cricklade were unable to hold on for the win after a late Highworth comeback.
Daniel Baverstock broke the deadlock with a cool finish for Cricklade. Highworth equalised straight after the break but Rhys Clements put Cricklade back into the lead.
A further Clements strike appeared to have won the game for Cricklade, but Highworth never gave up and scored two late goals to earn a 3-3 draw.
Under 9 North Liden and Stratton battled out a goalless draw. The game included numerous near misses, a missed penalty, and two shots against the woodwork.
Under 9 Central Blueprint Chiseldon ran out comfortable 5-1 winners in their home fixture against South Cerney. Benjamin Powell and Sam Palmer scored two goals each and Jamie Williams netted the other.
UNDER 9 SOUTH Liden Community B ran out 6-0 winners against a battling Ashton B side. Their scorers were Blake Hutchings (3), Aiden Bennett and Callum Dixey.
