DAVE Webb has challenged his Highworth Town players to express themselves tonight as they look to cause a major upset against Hellenic League leaders North Leigh.
Saturday's shock 3-1 reverse at Abingdon Town has lowered expectations ahead of Highworth's visit to Eynsham Hall Park, and Webb, pictured above, believes this could work in his team's favour.
He said: "It's going to be very difficult. They are top of the league and they beat us convincingly at our place a couple of weeks ago.
"People won't expect us to go there and do anything after our recent results. I will just be telling my players to relax and to try and enjoy themselves.
"This will give them a chance to go out and express themselves. It's a game that all the players should be looking forward to."
New signings Mitch Wyatt, pictured right, and Dan Wallington should retain their places after making their debuts at Abingdon, but Andy Minturn misses out due to work commitments.
Webb knows his side must earn the right to play against North Leigh, after a string of sub-par performances.
He said: "Saturday was very disappointing.
"We got ourselves into a good position in the table and gave ourselves a chance to put 50 points on the board, which would have exceeded our total from last season.
"For whatever reason we just didn't perform.
"We were playing a team fighting at the wrong end of the table and they just wanted it a bit more.
"It doesn't matter who you play, if you're not prepared to work hard then you are going to come unstuck."
Fairford Town also face a daunting task tonight when they travel to title favourites Almondsbury Town.
John Paget's men went down to an 88th minute penalty at home to Ardley United on Saturday, but manager John Paget refused to be downbeat.
He said: "The boys had their heads down after the game but I said to every one of them they played their best.
"On another day we could have got a draw out of it. In those last 15 minutes, there looked like there was only one team going to score.
"We had two or three great chances to finish it, but we couldn't take them.
"Almondsbury have games in hand and they look like they are going to win the league.
"If we can take what we did on Saturday with us then we should do really well."
Lee Clatworthy replaces Rob Paget in goal, while Adam Snook returns in midfield in place of Jack Williams.
Malmesbury Vics go in search of a fifth win in six matches when they host Trowbridge Town in Division One West.
