KC FC striker Dave Slattery has his sight set on title glory - 48 hours after having laser eye surgery.

The former Supermarine forward will not be able to play in the clash with Swindon APS after his operation.

But a Wilts League Division Two winners medal could help speed his recuperation.

He said: "I'm gutted I can't be out there with the lads but I wish them all the best and I'm confident they can do the business."

Three points will lift KC above leaders Intel, who have completed their fixtures.

The likely identity of the Premier Division winners will also be clearer when leaders Wroughton take on second-in-the-table Westbury United at the Weir Field.

Both sides have 52 points from 22 games with Wroughton just shading United on goal difference.

Wroughton boss Mark Love reported that all his players are up for the crucial game, adding: "Everyone has trained hard for the clash and it would mean a lot for the club if we could take another step towards the title.

"Last week's victory would have given the lads confidence.

"Squad-wise I have got 18 to choose from including new signing from Westside, Ricky Hewittson. It should be a good game."

Aldbourne boss Stef Kuczynski is looking for a third victory on the trot from his side against visitors Bradford Town.

He said: "We beat them 1-0 at their place at the start of the season, but that was a long while ago. They are a good side and it will be another big test for us.

"Micky Solen is back with Rick and Mick Casey also available.

"There's a good atmosphere about the place and with a settled side I hope we can continue our good run."

Purton Reserves take on third-in-the-table Bromham and will be looking to add another top scalp to their belts.

However, manager Dennis Carter said: "Unfortunately we will be without key players Richard Knowles and Darren Southway, so it looks as though I will have to get my boots out and get involved.

"Bromham are a good side and will be difficult to beat but we can be a bit handy too, on occasions."

New College entertain Pewsey Vale and could gather another three points if they start to take more of the chances they create.

Westside visit Marlborough Town and will be without their influential goal scorer Hewittson who has joined Wroughton.

Manager Mark Simpkins was very disappointed with his side last weekend and will be looking for some improvement at Marlborough.

Bottom club Malmesbury Vics travel to Corsham Town.

In Division One, AFC Stratton Nalgo, bidding for runners-up spot, take on local rivals Stratton Juniors, while unbeaten leaders Minety travel to Wroughton.
