SWINDON Town Official Supporters Club look back on two fascinating online shows while previewing a couple more fantastic in-person events to come.

One win in seven games? Or unbeaten in six? Which side of the fence do you sit? It was time for the half-full or half-empty debate after yet another draw at Gillingham on Saturday, but with two games at home coming up, Swindon have the chance for back-to-back victories and the opportunity to restore the faith of STFC fans.

Transfer deadline day lived up to all expectations, didn’t it? Well done to anyone who managed to stay up until the bitter end and the finalisation of the long and protracted saga of Harry McKirdy’s sale to Hibs.

We’re all really sad to see him leave after becoming such a cult hero at Swindon in his short time here – but we wish him well in the Scottish Premiership. We’d also like to wish a warm welcome to all the new players who joined last Thursday.

This week, the OSC invited Eoin “Ginger Pele” Doyle to join Vic Morgan in one of our On The Sofa events. If you missed it, then we would highly recommend you watch it back on our YouTube channel.

It was a brilliantly-entertaining hour of discussion with Eoin, and he spoke honestly and articulately about his time at our club. It was quite sentimental listening to his memories of our Richie Wellens-led championship-winning season (albeit via PPG) and the transfer saga with Bradford City. What a player he was!

We also had Christian Roberts join Vic a week earlier – again this is worth a watch if you missed it. Christian spoke openly about some of the challenges he’s faced in his personal life and talked about his time at the club.

We’ve got Christian back in person at the start of October. We’re holding a Monday Night Panel Live! Event on Monday, October 3 in the Legends Lounge – starting at 7pm. Joining Christian and Vic will be another STFC legend, Lee Peacock.

All OSC members will receive priority access to the tickets when they go on sale – this should be a fantastic evening, and I’m sure Christian and Lee have some fantastic stories to recount!

The OSC has also teamed up with Trust STFC and The Sir Tom Broadbent Lounge to hold a live Fans Forum on Wednesday, September 28.

Vic Morgan will be our MC for the evening and panellists include Clem Morfuni, Rob Angus, Zav Austin, Sandro Di Michele, Greg Norman and our new manager Scott Lindsey.

The event will be hosted in the Legends Lounge from 7pm and TSTBL will be live on Twitter for those that can’t join us in person. The event is free to attend but we will have some collection buckets at the door to raise money for Wiltshire Air Ambulance – the club’s charity partner of the year.

As above, all OSC members will receive priority access for tickets – although these have now almost all gone – so get them fast if you still want to attend in person.

Come on you Reds!
