IN SWINDON Town Supporters Trust’s latest packed column, the group discusses a variety of developments including the club’s new third kit, a potential fan zone at home games, and the upcoming Fans Forum.

TrustSTFC were deeply saddened by the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, and we share our sincere condolences with the Royal Family on behalf of our board and our membership. Tuesday night’s tributes by the club were impeccably observed; credit to all 7,500 at the County Ground.

Wakeling’s late winner on Tuesday secured us the three points, and while the performance leaves a few things to be desired, the work in progress is beginning to show in certain parts. That’s us now unbeaten in the last seven League Two games, having only lost the opener away at Harrogate.

The message from the club, the players, the coaching staff is very clear: let’s unite, stick together, and get right behind the team!

James Spencer attended September’s Advisory Board meeting earlier this week. The full minutes from the session will be available on the club’s website later this month, but it was great to discuss the potential for a new fan zone, the club’s plans for upcoming ticket bundles, and hearing from Clem on the ongoing strategy to reduce debt. If any Trust members have questions or concerns for us to raise in October, please do get in touch via email.

Some of our board members will be attending this evening’s sponsor’s dinner at the club, and we’re looking forward to engaging with the 22/23 cohort of commercial backers, as well as hearing more from the senior leadership of STFC about what to expect this season.

The club’s third kit was released this week, and we have had a number of messages asking whether it will be available to purchase online following the in-store launch. The club has confirmed the plan is to sell on the STFC Direct store online from early next week.

Trust members should have received an email about the upcoming Fans Forum on Wednesday, September 28 from 7pm in the Legends Lounge. Tickets are free of charge, and the clubs hierarchy will be there answering your questions, alongside the OSC and TSTBL. If you are a Trust member and have not received a link to obtain a free ticket, please do get in touch with us via email.

The Fans Forum was initially queried by a Trust member, and discussed at an Advisory Board meeting back in June - it’s great to see fan ideas put into action, and we’re sure it’s going to be a great evening all round!

With trips to Doncaster and Grimsby upcoming, we’re not back at home in the League until October 1. For anyone making the collective 800+ mile round trips over the coming weeks, we salute you and safe travels. COYR!
