SWINDON Town will be looking to build momentum following their dramatic 3-2 win against Sutton United when they travel to Doncaster Rovers tomorrow.

Town, who are currently sat in 11th in the Sky Bet League Two table, will be looking to secure their first away win of the season when they travel to the Eco Power stadium.

Town head coach Scott Lindsey will be hoping his side can build on their last result and begin to start turning their draws into wins, having drawn five times and only winning twice.

Their opponents this Saturday, Doncaster, will be looking to bounce back from their recent back-to-back defeats in the league.

Life back in the bottom tier after their relegation from League One last season hasn’t treated them too badly, sitting in seventh after eight games.

Rovers’ manager Gary McSheffrey will see Town’s slow start as an opportunity to pounce as they look for an instant return into the third tier.

Team news

Swindon will be without Tomi Adeloye and deadline day signing Rushian Hepburn-Murphy, who are both ruled out with injuries.

Head coach Lindsey is hopeful of Marcel Lavinier being fit for tomorrow despite not training this week after injuring himself against Sutton on Tuesday.

After both being side-lined with long term injuries, there is a strong chance that Reece Devine and Ellis Iandolo travel up to Doncaster.

For Doncaster, Ben Close, Aiden Barlow and Joseph Olowu have all returned to full training and could be involved.

Rovers’ forward Reo Griffiths looks set to be ruled out as Saturday looks to have come too soon for him.

Jon Taylor is fit enough tomorrow to start according to McSheffery after featuring on the bench in recent weeks.

Ones to watch

Luke Jephcott

Jephcott will be looking to get off the mark with a goal tomorrow afternoon, having made his deadline day loan switch to Town a couple of weeks ago.

The Plymouth loanee completed another 60 minutes on Tuesday as he continues to get back to full match fitness and wouldn’t be a surprise if he gets another start against Doncaster.

The forward threat will cause problems for the home side with his intelligent movement and goalscoring prowess and will fancy himself against a team who have conceded five goals in their last two outings.

Kyle Hurst

Having featured in every league game so far this season, the 20-year-old has hit the ground running in professional football after signing from Birmingham City this summer.

Hurst can operate on either flank and could cause danger to Lindsey’s side who conceded twice in midweek.

Emerging as a bit of a fan favourite up at the Eco Power stadium, he will be looking to continue his bright form tomorrow.

Last time out

The last time Town faced Doncaster was in the covid ridden 2020/21 League One relegation season, where the south Yorkshire outfit won 2-1 both home and away.

Swindon travel to the Eco-Power Stadium on Saturday to face Doncaster in Sky Bet League Two. Kick Off is at 3pm.
