SWINDON Town striker Harry Parsons was sent off in his latest game on loan at Banbury United on Tuesday.

In a fixture which included three Town youngsters experiencing a spell elsewhere for the time being, Parsons and Mo Dabre saw their team draw 1-1 with Harrison Minturn’s Gloucester City at Spencer Stadium.

Parsons – who will stay at Banbury until January – was unsuccessful with a couple of shots either side of half-time before being shown a second yellow card inside the final 20 minutes.

The 19-year-old’s six-game spell with Banbury has begun reasonably well, otherwise. Parsons scored in a 3-1 win over Southport at the start of September before finding a late winner in a 2-1 success at home to Scarborough last weekend.

Banbury are second in National League North – a point below King’s Lynn Town after 10 games – and will be hoping both Parsons and Dabre can provide the quality to ensure they remain there.

Dabre signed an initial loan deal in Oxfordshire until the end of October, but that could be extended if Town are happy for the teenager to continue his development away from the County Ground.

Meanwhile, Minturn has played 90 minutes in all three of his National League North outings since agreeing a one-month loan deal with Gloucester midway through September.

The 18-year-old helped City to a 3-0 win over Telford United on his debut before experiencing a 3-0 defeat away at Chorley next time out.

None of Town’s loanees who have been at clubs in FA Cup qualifying action have been allowed to play, therefore the potential loanee derby between Minturn’s City and Oscar Massey’s Hungerford Town was avoided last week.

George Cowmeadow has only featured on the bench twice for Slough Town since joining them on a month’s loan, while there is no information on Massey featuring in any of Hungerford Town’s squads since signing.
