SWINDON Town head coach Scott Lindsey insists he will not "get too hung up" on a positive performance only yielding a point as there will come a day when his side wins even though they did not deserve to.
A slow start from the hosts at the weekend resulted in Tranmere’s Josh Hawkes swooping in to open the scoring in the ninth minute. But Town roared back and equalised through Jacob Wakeling before half-time.
While Swindon continued to enjoy more possession in the second period, it was Rovers who missed the better of the chances – Kane Hemmings being the guilty party after he spurned a game-winning opportunity in stoppage time. Wakeling had earlier seen a brilliantly-taken finish ruled out for offside.

REACTION: Lindsey felt Swindon deserved all three points against Tranmere.
Seconds before the referee's whistle marked the end of the 1-1 draw, ex-Swindon defender Jordan Turnbull was shown a straight red card for a wild high boot on Frazer Blake-Tracy.
The game’s statistics suggested that a point apiece was a fair reward for both sides, but post-match, Lindsey saw it differently.
He said: “I won’t get too hung up on the fact we’ve played well today and not won. It evens itself out over the course of a season anyway.
“There will be times where we’ll maybe win a game and we won’t have deserved to on the balance of play.
“We’ve had a good start to the season, but that’s all it is. We have to maintain that and then finish the job off, so that’s what we’ll be concentrating on.
“It’s a positive that we’ve avoided consecutive defeats again, but I also wanted to win the game (against Tranmere) and I felt we did enough to do that.”
Tranmere’s ninth-minute goal occurred following a mistake from Saidou Khan in which he was dispossessed in a dangerous area of the pitch.
The early incident was one of at least three moments where the Gambian lost the ball, leading to a chance for the visitors.
Lindsey admitted that area of the midfielder’s game does need to be addressed, but insisted Khan enjoyed a decent game overall.
Lindsey said: “I thought [Khan] did well, but he tired towards the end.
“He gets himself into positions where he turns and drives and then he creates things, but there have been some times where he gets caught – so we’ve got to look at that.
“I thought he was good overall, and I think Reedy did well when he came on too. That’s why we have a squad.
“We’ve got good players throughout our squad, and we’ll pick a team according to who we feel can best help us win against Crewe next week.”
