Theo Robinson, formerly of Swindon Town, has left Hartlepool United this week after just six weeks at the League Two side.
The striker, 33, was signed on a free transfer last month by the North East club after he was released by Bradford City.
The Pools played Harrogate Town in the FA Cup on Saturday, but Robinson was notably absent from the victory.
“Theo is no longer with us. It was my choice,” said Hartlepool manager Keith Curle after the game.
"We’re looking [for a replacement]. We’re always continually looking. But when you get to the beginning of December, going into January, the market that you’re looking in changes again.”
Robinson mustered nine appearances for The Pools in his short stay with the team.
Undoubtedly one of football’s journeymen, the striker has now turned out for as many as 15 clubs across his career.
One of these was of course Swindon Town, where Robinson played half of the 2018/19 season at.
Joining on loan from Southend United in January 2019, the player enjoyed a great goal return, scoring seven in 16 matches for the Robins.
This goal haul included two on the final day of the season at the County Ground to relegate Notts County.
He returned to Southend and joined Colchester United on loan in that summer.
