REPORTS have stated Scott Lindsey is set to be appointed Crawley Town manager once his departure from Swindon Town is confirmed.
Lindsey was said to have departed the County Ground on Thursday following a significant dip in form for the Robins.
And just hours after news broke that the 50-year-old would no longer be Swindon's head coach, several reports suggested that Lindsey would be taking over the vacant manager's position at The People's Pension Stadium having already been interviewed by the Sussex club.
Matthew Etherington was the Red Devils boss for just three games - including a victory over the Robins - but left after Crawley director of football and interim CEO Chris Galley said: "It became clear to all involved parties that this partnership is not the right fit to carry the club forward and achieve our goals."
If many reporters - including Pete O'Rourke - are to be believed, Lindsey could return to the County Ground as Crawley boss on the final day of the regular season.
