SWINDON Town's final League Two game of the season has been rearranged.
The coronation of King Charles III is set to take place on Saturday, May 6, which clashes with the visit of Crawley Town to the County Ground.
The national event has caused the entire sporting programme on that day to be pushed back, and the League Two clash between the two Towns will now take place on Monday, May 8, instead.
Swindon’s final fixture promises to be a classic as the team hunts down promotion to League One, and there are plenty of other storylines for when the Red Devils arrive.
Current Crawley manager Scott Lindsey had been Town’s own boss since the summer of 2022, but he recently departed to join up with the squad over at Broadfield Stadium.
The Robins are still on the lookout for the 50-year-old's replacement, with interim coach Gavin Gunning taking charge for their 5-0 thumping of Grimsby Town last weekend.
A potential return for Lindsey to Swindon on the final day of the season would make for great entertainment with both parties having unfinished business.
The Robins next game is away to Walsall in League Two on Saturday, January 21, with a kick-off time of 3pm.
