FORMER Swindon Town loanee Louie Barry has signed for Salford City on loan.
The Aston Villa forward played 16 times for Swindon over the second half of last season, scoring six goals and providing an assist as the club reached the League Two play-offs.
After returning to his parent club over the summer, Barry - who was a part of Barcelona's academy - joined Milton Keynes Dons in a temporary switch but scored just once in 32 appearances.
The 19-year-old was recalled by Villa after Christmas, and will now spend the remainder of this season in Greater Manchester.
Speaking to Salford's media team, Barry said: "I feel like coming here will improve me as a player.
"I'm a very attacking player, I'm very forward thinking, whenever I get the ball I think forward.
"I'm a goal scorer, that's where I made my name, scoring goals. I like to create, I like to make things happen in the box when I get the ball, I want to drive forward, get players and put them on the back foot."
Barry could face his former loan club on Saturday, February 18 when Salford host Swindon at the Peninsula Stadium in League Two.
